Hayat Dining
Bridging Heritage and Modernity
CLIENT OVERVIEW
Client: Hayat Dining
Industry: Upscale Halal Dining
Project Scope: Brand Strategy, Visual Identity, Packaging Design, Social Media Assets
Duration: 10 weeks
CHALLENGE
-
Ambiguity around brand positioning in the premium dining space
-
Concern about alienating non-Muslim customers while honouring Islamic values
-
Absence of a visual identity that communicated refinement, culture, and trust
-
Difficulty articulating the brand’s emotional and spiritual depth
IMPACT
We delivered a comprehensive brand strategy document, full logo suite with brand guidelines, custom packaging design, social media templates, and an ongoing client portal for support—resulting in clear and confident brand positioning ahead of launch, a visual identity that elevated perceptions of halal dining, and a strong positive response from both Muslim and non-Muslim audiences, including a surge in reservation interest and private dining inquiries.
PROJECT OVERVIEW
Amina, founder of the popular Kaduna-based casual restaurant Maima Mia, came to us with a vision that felt both bold and deeply personal — to build a premium dining experience that harmonizes Islamic values of modesty and decency with world-class food and design.
She wasn’t sure how to do that without alienating potential non-Muslim patrons. Nor did she have clarity on how to position the brand, define the ideal audience, or express its essence visually and emotionally.

OUR APPROACH
Discovery & Strategic Alignment
We conducted deep discovery sessions to uncover the emotional core of Amina’s vision. Themes of modesty, serenity, heritage, and excellence emerged as foundational pillars.
Brand Strategy Development
Over four focused sessions, we shaped the brand’s identity: mission, values, audience personas, messaging framework, and unique selling proposition — establishing a confident and coherent foundation for the visual identity.
Visual Identity Design
We crafted an identity that fused regal Islamic elegance with modern restraint. The palette drew from rich greens, warm caramels, and soft neutrals; the logo incorporated elements of Arabic geometry and calligraphic flow. The result was a system that felt spiritual, luxurious, and universally inviting.
Packaging & Social Assets
Packaging was developed with subtle Islamic motifs and premium finishes for takeout and gifting. We also designed a suite of social media templates to ensure consistent, elegant storytelling across digital platforms.
Delivery & Support
Final deliverables were provided alongside a Brand Guide and client portal. Post-project, we offered four weeks of strategic support to ensure confident implementation
